Electrolytic Aluminum Plant

As a specialized manufacturing facility, an Electrolytic Aluminum Plant has stringent requirements for the safety and reliability of the power supply system.  The cost of electricity alone accounts for more than 30% of the total production cost.  Therefore, the owner would like to implement a plant-wide monitoring system that can help insure the plant's safe and reliable operation, improve production efficiency, reduce manufacturing cost and increase the company's competitiveness.
The Electrolytic Aluminum Plant employs a Double-Bus segmented configuration with four 220kV incoming lines, one 220kV main substation, 2 trasnformer substations, three 10kV distribution substations and six sets of rectifier.

 ¡ñ  PecStar Integrated Automation System

CET's automation system provides the customer with a complete solution for protection, monitoring and control of the entire electrical system and helps improve the facility's operational efficiency, reduce energy consumption, improve productivity and increase the company's competitiveness.

¡ñ  Compliant with the IEC 610000 series emission and immunity standards and are capable of providing their respective protection and monitoring functions under strong electromagnetic interference.
¡ñ  Provides waveform recording and event logging information for fault analysis, location and isolation to minimize power supply interruption.
¡ñ  Provides detailed power consumption information so that it can be used in conjunction with the facility's control system to improve overall operational efficiency and reduce production cost.
¡ñ  Provides individual harmonics and waveform information and enable the derivation of harmonic filter capacity.
¡ñ  Automatic meter reading, incident pre-alarming and event logging help reduce the stress of the operators while improving system safety.
¡ñ  In the event of voltage fluctuations within the system, the monitoring system can provide the captured information to the operators in order to make adjustment to the manufacturing process and minimize the effects.
