CET's digital protection and monitoring devices as well as its automation systems are being widely used by thousands of customers in various industries including petroleum, chemical, non-ferrous metallurgy and steel manufacturing.  As one of the participants for the delivery of "The Ultra High Current Aluminum Electrolytic DC Power Supply System", CET was awarded First Prize for the Chinese Non-ferrous Metal Industrial Technology in 2002.  In addition, CET's Transys Comprehensive Integrated Substation Automation System won the Shenzhen Science & Technology Innovation Award in 2006.  We have successfully commissioned our digital, microprocessor based DC protection and control instrumentation in over 100 large rectifier substations with highest voltage and highest current reaching 220kV and 350kA, respectively.  CET is the No.1 provider of Comprehensive Integrated Substation Automation System for Rectifying Substations in China.

CET's PMC series digital protection relays, integrating the features of harmonics analysis, incident pre-alarming, SOE log, high-accuracy multi-function metering, multiple communications ports and multiple protocol support, represent a new generation of microprocessor based protection devices designed specifically for industrial applications.  The advanced PMC series protection relays even come with resonance monitoring and control, online generator startup testing, online fault monitoring and diagnosis for large equipment, data sharing with DCS and interlocking control functions. 
 

CET has developed the PMC-550 Intelligent Protection and Monitoring Device for low-voltage motors and motor control centre, which have been widely used in many manufacturing industries.  A typical factory converts electric power into mechanical energy for its production processes using a large number of low-voltage motors.  The safe and reliable operation of motors dictate the sustainability of production as well as equipment safety.

Our new intelligent Motor Control Centre not only provides routine protection, monitoring and control for low-voltage motors but also offers additional functionalities such as metering, incident pre-alarming and event reporting.  The Motor Control Centre can be deployed as a sub-system of the comprehensive integrated substation automation or power monitoring system, thus elevating the overall safey and reliability of the electric supply system for the entire enterprise.
  

  
The speedy development of the Chinese economy gave birth to numerous investments in different technology sectors across China such as chemical manufacturing, aircraft production, pharmaceuticals and precision electronics manufacturing.  As CET predicted over 10 years ago, following the demands for remote metering, remote communications and remote control of the electrical supply system, customers would once again raise their requirements for better quality power, TOU billing, event recording, speedy diagnosis and energy conservation in order to satisfy their goals for improved security and reliability.  To accommodate these increasing demands from customers, we proactively developed a series of digital protection and metering devices such as the PMC-6510 digital protection, monitoring and control device and the PMC-500 series digital multi-function meters.  In particular, the PMC-5600 advanced power monitoring device is able to sample 128 points per cycle and provide harmonics up to the 63rd order.

The PMC-580 power quality monitoring device that CET has independently developed employs high-speed 32-bit Central Processing as well as Digital Signal Processing units, capable of sampling 1024 points per cycle.  The device utilizes 16-bit A/D converters to provide high-resolution AC measurements.  The PMC-580 is designed to monitor the power quality of those institutions that are extremely sensitive to voltage fluctuations such as the satellite launch facilities, large IC factories, and precision electronics manufacturing facilities.  The PMC-580 can assist users in capturing and analyzing the causes of these power quality events, reducing losses as a result of poor power quality, improving product quality and operational efficiency.

The power quality monitors and monitoring system that CET has developed and imported have been widely used in various PQ sensitive applications such as the Lingbao HVDC Converter Station (330kV/220kV) between Northwest China and Central China Power Grids, Gaoling Substation of Northeast China and North China Power Grids, eight 500kV substations of Guangdong Power Grid, Shanghai Electric Power Co., An'hui Power Grid, Yunnan Power Grid, Zhejiang Power Grid, Jiuquan Satellite Launch Facility, INTEL Chengdu Plant and NOKIA Dongguan Plant.


CET is one of only a few suppliers in China technically qualified to contract high-end grid metering and billing system projects for national-level power grids, provincial-level power companies as well as large power plants.

The ION high-end grid meter that CET imports from North America has satisfied various users with its high accuracy, high reliability, multiple communications ports, multi-function, long life and its power quality monitoring and analysis capability.  Grid metering and billing are critical economic factors for power plants, national-level or regional-level power grids as well as large, grid-level power consumers.  To date, CETcustomers of advanced grid metering include:
